Director/ Head Coach
Former Canadian cheerleader, Susan Lobriza is the director and head coach of the Royal All Stars Cheer & Dance academy. With several years of cheerleading experience, Susan has a strong background knowledge of the competitive world of cheerleading.“My goal is to see that each cheerleader that is a part of the Royal All Stars Cheerleading Academy develops lasting relationships, a strong sense of self worth and pride and also achieves life skills that will assist them in becoming positive and productive adults.”She has been a former elite athlete on Vancouver Canada’s Valley Stars Cheer Athletics and the Rick Hansen Hurricanes cheerleading squad. She then moved to Australia and continued to cheer for Melbourne’s Deakin University Cheerleading and also became an executive member for the large university cheerleading club. In 2012, Susan gained a position as an athlete on Australia’s first ever all girl level 6 squad- The Australian Dream Girls, the highest level of cheerleading in the sport. Susan was also an understudy for the Australian Worlds team competing in level 5 at the 2012 USASF/IASF and ICU World Cheerleading Championships against several other countries around the world. In 2016, Susan successfully coached and gained a bid to Hawaii’s Global Dance and Cheer Games to be held in 2017- a first for one of our teams at the Royal All Stars Cheerleading Academy! She has experience performing at large publicized events such as the annual televised Footy Legends match for Channel 9, the Moomba Festival, Melbourne’s FitX Expo and at the Triple M Radio Station just to name a few. Susan was also chosen to be an exclusive NOVA 100 Cheerleader for the popular radio show and was featured on “Meshel and Tommy’s Breakfast Radio Show” and was also casted for Holden Australia’s NRL Tweet Cheer commercial.
Susan is also known for being the founder for many sporting cheer squads including the state baseball team’s ABL Diamond Aces Cheerleaders for the Melbourne Aces and the gridiron football cheerleaders for the GV Berwick Miners. She has choreographed major performances including those for the Royal Melbourne Show, annually at the Berwick Show and Pakenham Show, and for The Color Run Australia in Melbourne with a record of over 17,000 athletes at the 2013 event. Susan was also selected as a Chicago Bulls Cheerleader for basketball legend Dennis Rodman’s “Bad Boy” tour in Melbourne. Susan brings a unique and fresh touch to Australian cheerleading and has continued to lead the academy to several State and National winning titles. Her passion and love for the sport is what has influenced her to share her knowledge and experience of cheerleading to other young Australian athletes.
She is internationally credentialed as a USASF/IASF cheerleading and tumbling coach and is also a member of the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation. Her creative and free spirited mind will help instil confidence and self esteem within each Royal All Stars cheerleader.
